DocCite is a document search and review app for clinical research professionals. I built it to make one routine task less cumbersome: finding the exact passage that answers a question, then checking that passage in context.

I have worked in clinical research since 2003. My work has included CRA responsibilities, clinical trial management, project management, and clinical operations leadership.
I am also an Adjunct Lecturer at Regis College, where I teach graduate coursework in clinical research project management and FDA regulations. DocCite grew out of the same practical concern that runs through that work: the team needs the right source language in front of them before a question can be resolved well.

Find the controlling passage across study documents.
In clinical research, a short question can send someone through a protocol, amendment, informed consent form, manual, and schedule of assessments. The work is often finding which document and version applies, then getting back to the exact language quickly enough to use it.
DocCite keeps each result tied to its source. It returns the supporting passage with the document and locator, and it opens the original source for review. If the loaded documents disagree or do not support a clear answer, the app keeps that uncertainty visible.

Development and maintenance
How DocCite is developed and maintained.
I independently build and maintain DocCite. The Apple app currently leads product development. The Android and Windows versions follow the same basic workflow of adding documents, searching them, reviewing cited evidence, and opening the source, with platform differences documented on this website.
Current releases, changes, and known platform details are listed in the changelog and platform pages. The privacy policy explains how each current platform handles documents and diagnostics.
