Offline Transfer
Check compatibility before moving a DocCite library.
Offline Transfer moves a copy of your local DocCite library. It is a manual export and import process. It does not synchronize devices.
DocCite Web uses a separate encrypted backup format. Web backups cannot be restored in native apps, and native Offline Transfer bundles cannot be restored in Web. Read the web backup instructions.

Current transfer routes
These routes require DocCite 1.2 on the destination app. Update before transferring. “Verify first” identifies implemented cross-platform readers whose complete cross-device acceptance remains limited.
Android 1.2 routes below require the direct Android installer. Download Android 1.3. Google Play releases are versioned separately; check the store listing before transferring.

Version compatibility
Update the destination before transferring.
New Android and Windows native bundles require 1.2 readers. Older bundles remain readable by the matching 1.2 app. Transfers use saved library records; save any note draft first. Platform-specific records may not transfer identically between native apps.
Before you transfer
Keep the source until you check the result.
- Keep the original documents and the source library.
- Use a strong passphrase when the bundle contains sensitive material.
- Open several imported documents, citations, notes, and bookmarks.
- Do not delete the source until the destination library is complete.
